Apex Lab
GenAI Accelerator Program by Apex Lab & AWS

Transform your AI idea into reality in 6 weeks No cost. No risk. No catch.

We explore and prioritise your AI opportunities, build a working AWS-based prototype for your most promising use case, and deliver a roadmap to scale beyond the program.

What will you get?

AI Roadmap

Collaborative workshops to explore your AI opportunities and deliver a prioritised roadmap with feasibility, cost estimate, and business impact.

Full-stack Prototype

A fully functional AWS-based prototype of your most promising use case — ready to test with real users and generate data-driven insights for your go/no-go decision.

Scaling Action Plan

A clear roadmap for taking your prototype to production, including technical requirements, resource needs, and an implementation timeline.

Who is it for?

Startup

Ready to build and scale AI-powered solutions with proven technology — or considering moving to AWS from other providers.

SMB

Digital and non-digital companies experimenting with integrating AI into their offerings.

Enterprise

Teams with project ideas facing budget constraints, priority issues, or lacking in-house AI expertise.

    Application & Intro Call

Submit your application in a minute and schedule a quick call to explore fit, timeline, and next steps.

We customise the process to match where you are and what you need to move forward.

  2. 2.

Workshop #1: GenAI Roadmap Prioritization (GRP)

    About:

    • • Introduction to your business
    • • Explore and prioritise the most impactful GenAI use case
    • • Assess technical project readiness

Outcome: Selected AI project use case

Resource needed: 2 people for 2 hours

  3. 3.

    Workshop #2: Use Case Refinement

    About:

    • • Align on project goals, success criteria, and metrics
    • • Design high-level architecture and approach
    • • Agree on next steps and project roadmap

    Outcome: Detailed project plan

Resource needed: 2 people for 2 hours

  4. 4.

    AWS Project Approval

About: AWS evaluates the project plan and determines co-funding for the full-stack prototype development.

    Outcome: Go or no-go decision

Resource needed: 30 mins for alignment

  5. 5.

    Full-stack Prototype Build

About: Our engineering team delivers the agreed project scope in collaboration with your team.

    Outcomes:

    • • Working prototype for your selected use case
    • • Documentation and data-driven insights
    • • Clear action plan to scale beyond the PoC

Resource needed: 1–2 hours weekly from business and technical stakeholders

  6. 6.

    Project Wrap-Up

    About:

    • • Explore eligibility for additional AWS funding programs
    • • Align MVP scope based on prototype feedback and validation results

Success stories

CEE Travel AI — EMEA

Hospitality

Highlighted AWS GenAI project

Objective: Create a multilingual, agentic conversational travel assistant that runs entirely on AWS and can be integrated by major OTA companies.

Key features:

  • • Multi-Agent Orchestration (Conversation, Research, Quality-Check) via Bedrock + Lambda
  • • RAG pipeline using S3, Glue, OpenSearch, and Bedrock for corpus embedding
  • • Real-time hotel price validation via agentic tool calls
  • • React-based widget for OTA partners (Booking.com, Szallas.hu, Invia.hu)
  • • Observability via CloudWatch and API Gateway metrics

Outcome: Demonstrated scalable agentic RAG orchestration at production-scale traffic, with MVP rollout planned for multi-tenant OTA expansion.

Inquisita.AI — US, Colorado

LegalTech

Highlighted AWS GenAI project

Objective: Build an AI-powered, document-aware discovery response platform that lets legal teams generate accurate, objection-ready responses to interrogatories.

Key features:

  • • Agentic hybrid retrieval (semantic RAG + exact search) via Bedrock Agents + Lambda tool calls
  • • Parallelized ingestion pipeline for large RFPs/RFAs using S3 + Bedrock-hosted OCR for scanned/legacy PDFs
  • • Document-grounded drafting engine with inline citations to uploaded case materials
  • • Automatic objection suggestion engine (privilege, relevance, burden, scope) based on playbooks and jurisdictional patterns
  • • Review workflow with human-in-the-loop edits and DOCX export for redlining and filing

Outcome: Shipped a production-ready discovery response MVP in active use by litigation teams and law firms across multiple US states, reducing time-to-draft and review cycles. Growing $5000 MRR.

FAQ

Is this really free for us? What should I give in return?

Yes – for selected teams, the accelerator is completely free with no strings attached. Apex Lab funds the initial discovery workshops, and AWS co-funds the proof-of-concept development. If you want a broader scope than the program typically supports, partial co-funding from your side may be required, but that choice is yours.

How much involvement is needed from our side?

Very little: we need your presence for the workshops (max 2x2 hours) and availability for clarification questions during the build phase. For the workshops, we require at least one product/business person and one technical expert.

What do we get at the end? How far does this take us?

You go from idea → scoped use case → working prototype + roadmap to MVP/production. You’ll have a functional AI prototype ready for testing and validation (not production-ready yet).

What are the requirements to apply? Is there a minimum MRR/ARR?

We prefer companies that have reached product-market fit, but the opportunity is open to everyone. The higher the expected AWS consumption of your GenAI service, the more time AWS sponsors us to build it with you.

Do we need to already be on AWS?

Relevant for both non-AWS users and teams already on AWS. This is not a restricting factor.

Does this give us AWS credits or money?

The process and costs from workshop to prototype handover are covered by Apex Lab and AWS. You get a working prototype without incurring engineering costs. This program doesn’t include AWS credits, but we can help you apply for them separately as AWS Partners.

Is this a one-time thing, or can we join later? Is there a deadline?

There is no deadline; we accept applications on a continuous basis. Apply whenever the timing is right.
